The Dangerous Threat of Real Bio-Warfare and What You Can Do About It.

It is generally understood among those in the know, that the bombing raids on New York and Washington DC were but a preview of what is to come.

Upper-level First-Responder organizers, some hospital administrators, and certainly members of our government have been briefed on the likely scenario of a real biological attack using Bio-Warfare agents to kill citizens of the United States and bring our medical infrastructure and our economy to a screeching halt.

Government Sponsored Bio-Warfare Exercise - "Dark Winter"

On 22–23 June 2001, the Johns Hopkins Center for Civilian Biodefense Strategies, in collaboration with the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the Analytic Services Institute for Homeland Security, and the Oklahoma National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism, held a senior-level exercise entitled "Dark Winter" that simulated a covert smallpox attack on the United States.

The Dark Winter exercise portrayed a fictional scenario depicting a covert smallpox attack on US citizens. The scenario was set in three successive National Security Council (NSC) meetings which took place over a period of 14 days.

Dark Winter, used to test our country's ability to handle a biological terror attack on a large scale, confirmed how our lives could be completely changed, no matter where we live in the US.

The conclusion of "Dark Winter"? Well, there were several. But one stands out among others. The medical infrastructure (our network of hospital, clinics, doctors and medical first-responders) will all but collapse in the event there is an attack with any weapons of mass-destruction.

That's why Medical Corps created the Bio-Hazard Charts for the public, not just for Doctors, medical first responders or helpers.

Bio-Hazard Charts

What if there is a terrorist biological attack? What do you do? Consider the following critical questions:

  1. How do you recognize a biological attack, when regular news sources may be unavailable?
  2. What pill/potion/compound do you take (if any) to prevent a bio-weapon agent from "infecting" you (short of wearing a bio-hazard contamination suit)?
  3. If a drug can be used to prevent a bio-weapon from infecting you, - what is it, which one if many and how much do you take for how long?

The purpose of these charts is to answer the above questions and show how YOU can keep from being a casualty in a biological weapon attack. You simply follow the instructions on the charts and acquire the drug called for in the charts.

These charts normally were intended for Doctors and/or First Responder
Medical personnel. We decided to make them publicly available to adults.

 

 

There is nothing horrific or graphic about the charts, but they do deal with
how to treat or avoid dangerous Biologically-borne War agents.

The process we are presenting in these charts is called Antibiotic Prophylaxis, and this is not to be confused with something like the Anthrax Vaccine for the military.

style folding chart. The 5 pages are preceded by a cover sheet with a
copyright.
